Not widely seen but the unspeakable Megaskepasma erythrochlamys is unmissable when you do. It can be pushed to full sun or full shade but somewhere in between and spoilt with rich, moist and warm conditions is more likely to produce such a tropical wall of lush green with red flames. Though tall and upright, easy to prune and good for a quick-growing screen, it's not really a plant for small spaces. The Growing Friends often have it for sale at Sydney's Botanic Gardens.

Fast plant facts

Grow what's suited to climate and let nature takes it cause. No point on using water just to let it survive in a drought.

Palmetto Soft Leaf Buffalo is ideally suited as a lawn in many applications.
