Having moved from SA (where its clay clay and more clay) i have struggled with the sandy soil conditions here. Due to strict WA quarantine laws, a lot of the green manures you could grow east arent available here... so i am doing my bit by planting chia in large pots ( i dont have as much vege garden as i would like) and then digging the potting mix and chia into the soil to condition it...am also trying borage, but so far the caterpillars are thwarting my best efforts !
