An update on suspicions about Puka noted on 15 Feb after a quick trip to Melbourne. A few sightings in the Botanic Gardens of full, mature specimens but with many big leaves singed by exposure to full sun under hotter drier conditions than a Puka would ever get in NZ. But from the steamy conditions of the tropical glasshouse, a pretty pic of Cochliostema a collector's plant not common enough to have a common name.

Fast plant facts

Get chooks! Have fruit trees in the chicken yard. Chickens deal with pests, dropped fruit, providing eggs and manure. They even eat the weeds too!

Palmetto

Palmetto Soft Leaf Buffalo is ideally suited as a lawn in many applications.
