Hi everybody, just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get rid of aphids on my lettuce? Any homemade remedies? Or greener options? My mother-in-law said to try flea powder with pyrethrin in it BUT its the other ingredients I believe would probably kill you, so thats a NO GO! Im going to give a shot at companion gardening and plant some pyrethium daisy but any other ideas would be great.

A couple of suggestions from our competition earlier in the year were: 1) boil chillis or chilli powder in water with garlic spray it on plants once cool. 2) spray an infusion of garlic skins with diluted detergent and part oil. Commercial but ‘green' garlic, oil or soap sprays are available too.
