tufted bluebell and kangaroo paw bush elegance?

I'm new to gardening. I am thinking of putting Tufted Bluebell in a garden bed near my front yard brick wall front fence.
The Plant Selector says Tufted Bluebell will grow half a metre, but I have also read that it is ground cover. I think I need to add something to the garden bed for contrast and height. So I am thinking putting some Kangaroo Paw Bush Elegance behind the Tufted Bluebell.
Does anyone that knows these two plants think this combination will work well together? If not, any other suggestions? I am in Sydney and the front yard receives part sun/part shade, it is normal soil and the ground is moist.

Sounds like you're very much on the right track. I'm totally with you on the Kangaroo Paw. But the thing with the Tufted Bluebell is that most of its height comes only with the seasonal flowering stems and it can at other times be a fairly insubstantial presence. I'd think about planting it to mingle with something else as well like one of the various cultivars of Scaevola or Brachyscome.
