We've had to make some tough decisions about our yard since getting the message on water conservation. The first decision we made was to pull back the grassy areas from driveways and paths where grass clippings look messy. This meant we could switch to a mulching blade on the mower and just leave the clippings on the lawn. We never mow off more than a 1/3 of the length of the grass blades and mow only in the evening during hot weather and then water early the following morning. The grass is staying greener through hot, dry spells even with major water cutbacks.

Maria,  WA
Fallen leaves look very messy. I put them back into the garden as mulch. I save money and the plants love the organic matter.

Palmetto

Palmetto Soft Leaf Buffalo is ideally suited as a lawn in many applications.
